This week I attended, RAUG, the Richmond Adobe User Group. It was my first time, and there was a WordPress speaker there!

Matt Walters spoke on design considerations and the way WordPress can act as a CMS. Mr. Walters has much knowledge of WP and its construction and I would recommend his services to those starting a WP site. That’s not to say that my old workplace can’t help you too. (Shout out to O’Leary)

Oh yeah.

Oh yeah.

I asked a lot of questions. So many, that I won a great new book to add to my Flash arsenal! The book seems to have an intensive direction for animation in Flash, which is right up my alley. I also never win anything. I had a great time and all of the folks in the group were great. If you’re a creative livin’ ’round these parts, you should take a session in.

I can’t say enough about WordPress and how great it is becoming for both designers and developers. The fact that fortune 500s are now using the platform says a lot about its power.

I also can not say enough about the new innovations to the Hot Bar at Ellwood Thompson’s market. There new “Bakeshop” stuff is so delicious and sooo Vegan.

Yay, I’m inspired.

  1. First meeting and won a book? That’s exactly what happened to me at Refresh Richmond last night!

  2. Do work! Congratulations.
